I know it can be very overwhelming to shop for beauty products let alone think about all the ingredients to look for and avoid. Here I have compiled a list of my favorite must-have brands and products.
As we covered last week, there are many ingredients to research the why and the how behind. I would recommend to continue to dive deeper into what ingredients will typically be removed from a product so it can be considered a “clean product”. To make this a bit easier I have included Ulta Beauty’s definition for clean products and an ingredient list of ingredients to avoid or to verify are not on the label.
What is Clean at Ulta Beauty?
We know that clean can mean many things. Our goal: to be transparent and keep things simple. We’re focusing on ingredients that products have—and don’t—to help you easily reach for the beauty you want.

As it stands, clean beauty truly is so new that there is not a finite definition or standard to go by. Unfortunately, this means that it is defined differently from one retailer to another, and from brand to brand.
I especially appreciate that Ulta Beauty has created a section on their site just for Conscious Beauty. This is new and a great way to not only educate yourself but for brands to be highlighted within this group. Like Ulta Beauty states on their site, “this creates transparency and choice”, which I completely agree with. Though tackling these topics can be confusing at first, you’ll typically want to look for product labels that state they are free of or made without these or most of these. Many aren’t applicable to personal care products but may be used in household products.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my haircare line.
